Problematic Men E175

in blog •  7 months ago

Watched another episode of 'Problematic Men (The Brainiacs) last night and this might be one of my top 5 episodes so far as I love it when they do international competitions. On this episode South Korea is competing against Japan.

The Brain Warm-up for this episode was to create an equation out of the given numbers that would satisfy the given target.

Brain Warm-up #1:

Given Numbers: 2,4,6,8,10
Target: 55

Brain Warm-up #2:

Given Numbers: 1,2,3,4,5
Target: 100

Brain Warm-up #3:

Given Numbers: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
Target: 10000

Brain Warm-up #4:

Given Numbers: 5,9,11,14,32,41
Target: 176

Brain Exercises

Brain Exercises #1: "The internet is out because the computer is infected with a virus. It said that to connect with the internet, a password must be typed into the computer. What's the password?"

Brain Exercises #2:

MOVING COINS: "Put the seven coins on the number pad. The coins must move between each number once. It cannot leave from a spot that's already been filled."

Brain Exercises #2:

HIDDEN SEQUENCE: "The members of the Brainiacs send a message to the Japanese guests. What does this mean?"

#1: 10/4 X (8X2+6)
#2: (4X5) X (2+3)X1
#3: 5^4 X 8 X (7-6) X (3+1) / 2
#4: (5+9) X 14 - [(41+11)-32]

I believe there could be other answers than the one above. I hate Math so I didn't try to solve any of the Brain-Warm-ups on this episode. XD

Correct Answer: INITIAL

This one I was able to 'somewhat' get. I mean I know the process on how to solve it since I've already seen other brain teasers like this one but I didn't try to connect the find a way through those lines. XD

#3: Correct Answer: WELCOME
