Everytime I hear about chainsaw, it reminds me of the movie "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" from more than 10 years ago. That movie affected me badly the night I saw it. It was shown on cable TV, so I watched the movie after seeing its trailer often.
Despite the gory and brutal scenes, I watched the movie until its end. I tried to close my eyes during the brutal scenes, but peeking at times as I hear the screams of the characters, as well as the protagonists being chased. Anyway, it's the first film of Jessica Biel that I have known.
That night I had watched it, I hardly fall asleep. It took me hours awake as the scenes linger in my brain. When I woke up in the morning, the scenes are still clear, and I can't hardly move on. It took me days until I finally got over it. Perhaps other movies I watched afterwards helped. I am still young at that time, and I got easily influenced by what I see on TV before.
The original 1970s film had triggered depression and anxiety to some, and I think the early 2000s version had some effects on people too. Thus, such films with so much violence is not recommended. In fact, that's the last film I watched of such kind.
