Good day freewriters! Here's my entry for the freewrite prompt "Castor Oil". The 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge is an initiative by @mariannewest. If interested to join, check her profile, as well as @freewritehouse.
Vanessa is about to undergo surgery the next day so she called on her son, Daniel, to buy "castor oil" which she will take before the surgery. Daniel is wondering why her mom will drink castor oil.
"Mom told me to buy castor oil for her. I have a lot in here. How come she's going to drink these? Isn't this dangerous to be ingested?" he told himself.
So Daniel took his supplies instead of buying one for her mom. He brought about two bottles to be sure.
As he got to the hospital, he's very happy to handle the bag where he put the oil for his mom, but she didn't open it yet.
"I brought two bottles for you mom, just in case, you'll need more. I actually have three bottles at home, and I'll give you the two so I don't have to buy one." Daniel told his mom.
"Oh thank you honey, that's so thoughtful" Mom said.
"You're welcome, Mom" Daniel replied.
As Vanessa about to take the castor oil, she screamed.
"Are you going to kill me Daniel? Why do you want me to take Castrol oil? I said CASTOR oil! You probably thinking I'm an engine?"
"Ohh! Sorry mom! Castrol oil registered on my mind. Don't worry, I am going to rush and buy for you!".
At times we do mix up words, and a different object will register in our mind like what happened to Daniel in the story above. But in complicated cases, we should be more careful especially if it involves one's life or health.
