Yesterday not long after I got home the dog started barking at our north gate, it was the type of bark that told you something was there. My husband went to check it out and she had alerted us to a turtle who needed help. Those were my husbands' words. He told her what a good dog she was for saving the turtles' life. I told him a few weeks ago there was another one in the yard and she would not get close to it. He said but this one is a water turtle, he needs water. So he finds a bucket, puts water in it, and places the turtle in the bucket, all while still telling the dog how good she did.
He drove to a nearby lake and let the turtle go in the water.
So today when I saw this prompt I googled spirit animal to read about the meanings of different animals and I saw this quiz, I am a turtle. hahaha

What It Means To Be The Turtle
The turtle totem wisdom teaches us about walking our path in peace and sticking to it with determination and serenity. Slow-moving on earth, yet also incredibly fast and agile in water, those who have the turtle as totem or spirit animal may be encouraged to take a break in their busy lives and look around or within themselves for more grounded, long-lasting solutions.
I wonder if my husbands' spirit animal is a bird. I wanted to make a mulberry cobbler and had my measuring cup outside putting the number of mulberries I would need in it. And he says, don't take them all save some for the birds.
Today the wind is blowing too hard to fish and he is sitting at the computer and bam something hit his window and he saw feathers falling. He goes outside and picks this little bird up from the ground. He placed it in one of my flower pots. It stayed down on the soil for about half an hour, then he got up on the edge and stayed there. I went out to take a picture of it and after taking the picture it flew off.
