Americans love their fast food, especially when it comes to chicken sandwiches.
Chick-fil-A is one of the more popular chicken fast food chains to date in the country and even though they are closed on Sunday and offer fewer establishments than KFC or McDonalds, they still reign supreme with chicken sandwich sales.

McDonalds has been looking to compete and reintroduce their own, getting involved in the chicken sandwich war that is upon us.
And Chick-fil-A might not be winning for much longer.
Last year, Popeyes introduced their new fried chicken sandwich.
Somewhat similar to the famous chicken sandwich you find at Chick-fil-A, this one comes with fried chicken, pickles, mayo, and a brioche bun.
The burger managed to grab a lot of attention online, one report from Bloomberg suggests that it broke the internet upon arrival, and it sold out only a couple weeks after its initial release.
Still, Chick-fil-A is the largest chicken chain in terms of sales, they are still beating Popeyes. But the addition from Popeyes was a solid success regardless if they still aren't in top spot just yet.
The new chicken sandwich has been aggressively driving sales for the company.
This is the closest that anyone has come to introducing a chicken burger that can truly compete with Chick-fil-A, possibly becoming known as the new favorite with people all over the country.
The sold-out sandwiches have been angering some folks who haven't been able to get their hands on the goods just yet. Some reviews also suggest that the burger isn't anything to get excited about. Still, the chicken sandwich from Popeyes is overwhelmingly a hit in the market.
Just like we saw years ago with the Dorito tacos with Taco Bell, that fueled massive job growth for the company because of the success of the product, the same thing is happening now with Popeyes.
They have been looking to hire hundreds of new employees to help meet the demand.
Some reports suggest though, that many of them might allegedly have been forced to work longer hours, without any breaks, to try and keep up with business. The popularity of the sandwich made it so busy for the restaurant at times that many employees allegedly wanted to simply quit and throw in the towel.
It might not be the healthiest food option, but the chicken sandwich is a clear favorite. It just goes to show how much success and revenue can be driven by the success of just one product in a restaurant.
