Here are a few recent photos taken at the docks of Vila do Conde, in the North of Portugal.
Nevermind the doggie, who decided to take a leak at the exact moment I was pressing the shutter! 🤭
On this day I went out for lunch and the choice of restaurant fell onto this one, Cais da Vila, right across the street with a outside terrace and a view to the river.
A perfect place to enjoy a good local meal. 😎
The name of the restaurant means Docks of the Village, a reference to the name of the city of Vila do Conde, which despite being a city has a name that translates to "Village of the Count".
The food was awesome but not very cheap. You can find many restaurants in this area with the same quality and much lower prices, for sure... but since all the other terraces were full, we went to this one.
The place is well decorated and it belongs to the same owners of the hostel next door, which seems to be quite cool and cosy. The hostel is called "Erva Doce" or "Sweet Herb" - when you translate it to English.
I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I enjoyed the meal. 😋
