It was an exciting affair for the neutrals and United faithfuls. This is the day they dream of particular when they know they'd close the gap on Chelsea and knowing this is the first time United would be performing a double over Chelsea in a season.
It was a fairly even first half but I feel Chelsea edged it as they had better chances to have taken the lead but Michy Batshuayi blew most of the chances especially a glittering chance.
United broke the deadline with a delightful header from Martial after a wonderful ball in from Wan Bissaka. Chelsea had a goal rules out for a push which I feel shouldn't have been because Ceasar got a push from Fred which was why he bumbed into Brandon Williams.
United had a great opportunity earlier when Bruno Fernandes hit the woodwork. Mount returned the favour also later in the game when he struck the woodwork from a freekick as well.
United sealed the win when Harry Maguire nodded home from a delightful corner from Bruno Fernandes. Chelsea rallied but couldn't get anything from the game.
Substitute, Olivier Giroud scored a headed goal only for VAR to rule it for offside again. Both goals from Chelsea were ruled off by VAR. Something must be wrong at the bridge, even though I agreed with the second goal being ruled off.
Eric Bailly did amazingly well in the defence just as all the defence line today. He was exceptional as he denied a point blank shot heading towarsa De Gea and blocked it off for a corner.
United showed they needed this match more as they were more clinical. Chelsea would rue their missed chances.
Odion Ighalo could have scored a third but Willy saved the ball.
It was a exciting match for the neutrals and of course United faithfuls.
