Greetings much health and blessings! ..
Today I am going to tell you about the I-TAL Food that is essential in the Rastrafarian culture.
Ital is a term that derives from the word "vital" and is widely used within the Rastafari jargon to refer to food that is basically composed of natural products, which are not chemically or biologically modified, free of pesticides, fertilizers and additives as are the dyes and preservatives.
At present there is great diversity of
people who take the vegetarian lifestyle to feel better and look good or for health problems, but a rasta does not use it for those reasons, but his vision is more focused on philosophy, it is a more loving sense, towards the natural . They see it as a loving lifestyle with the different animals that live with us on the planet
The true Rasta eats only foods from the diet called I-tal. This is a special diet, since it never eats food with chemical processes, only natural and not canned. Foods that are cooked are served in the least processed way possible: No salts, Preservatives or Artificial Condiments. Dreadlocks are vegetarian. They prefer to take anything that is an herb, like you. Liquor, milk, coffee, and sodas are seen as things that are not natural.
Therefore, Many Dreadlocks are Vegetarian. They prohibit eating pork, since this is the cleaner of the earth. Fish is a food within the I-tal, however, crab, lobster and shrimp are not, because these are the cleaners of the sea. The fish they eat should be small, no more than twelve (12) inches long or Thirty (30) Centimeters. Drinking preferences are inclined to anything that is herbal, for example tea. Liquor, milk, coffee and soft drinks look like artificial. The term I-tal is being quickly accepted by the Jamaican consumer industry.
This nourishment is based on the principle of the commandment that YAH gave to Adam at the beginning of creation:
GENESIS 1- (29): And God said: Behold, I have given you every plant that gives seed, that is over all the earth, and every tree in which there is fruit and that gives seed; They will be for you to eat. (30) And to every beast of the earth, and to all the birds of the heavens, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, every green plant will be for them to eat. And it was like that.
