It's nearly halloween.. so I have an idea to make an easy peasy halloween candy sack. Like usually, this art piece would be divided into two main steps, the first one is the cross stitch and the second one is the hand sew, then It's finished.
It was the coolest and easiest to make for this halloween. So why don't you give it a try?
Materials & things needed:
- Cross stitch fabrics in natural color Some colors of the embroidery threads (orange, light orange, black, purple, white, light grey, brown, green, light green, yellow, peach)
- Embroidery needle
- Natural color fabrics
- Sewing threads
- Sewing needle
- Embroidery hoop (optional)
For the cross stitch
First, cross stitch the pumpkin.
Start from the left bottom of the stitch, by using double threads of embroidery thread with the black, light orange, orange then the green and light green color.
For the orange color start from the outer part to inner of the pumpkin. It would be easier to stitch.
When i stitch i make sure that the results at the back are all horizontally or at least they have the same direction (vertically or Horizontally)
Make the wood fences with brown double threads then green for the bushes. Then stitch with double purple for the small house, the yellow for its' windows then for the roof use double brown thread. Hint: stitch the outer first then inner (see in The picture below)
Then, for the small house on the right part use the cream color, yellow for the window, then double stitch triangle with orange threads for the roof.
the For The Cute Ghost and TWO Small Stars. Stitch The Double Yellow Threads for The First Star upon The Small Houses. The Then the using The Double Threads of Light Gray, Purple, Black and White Cross Stitch The Ghost. The For The Mouth, use Double Black Threads for the back stitch around this area. Last, double cross stitch with the yellow thread for the small star upon the pumpkin.
Spooky treats words, use the easiest way to cross stitch with the double orange threads. Usually i made most of the half stitch then reverse back to complete it with the full cross stitch. You could see from some of the pictures below and on the Video.
I show how to cross stitch the O letter on the video
With the double threads of light green color cross stitch the leaves.
Then for the crow, use double threads of black, white and also yellow.
After finished, use the black double threads for the spider and back stitch for its' legs. Then for the spider web upon it, back stitch it using a single black thread.
Use the single thread for the back stitch with green for the leaves' stems and purple for the two decorations. Cross stitch the outer lines using the double purple threads.
Finish for the cross stitch.
For the handsewing:
First, cut off the cross stitch then cut 2 of natural fabrics with 13x14 cm. Then put the fabrics upon and under the cross stitch fabric. Sew the 3 sides (left, right and below) with red sewing threads as the Helper. Sew using the white threads.
Then turn it around, voila!
The cute halloween candy sack is ready to use.
