Autumn is kicking in, leaves are starting to change color, and temperatures are starting to drop. Not my most favorite period of time, only when.....The weather is like how it was the weekend. This weekend all scenery around the Vierwaldstattersee was like from a painting. Check it out!
I decided to get a bit higher to look for some views of the city and the lake and just chill for the afternoon. This route up was a little bit more steep than my bike had wanted, but that all disappeared when I eventually reached up here in the Dreilindenpark (not even significant altitude change on the map, but in reality..it needs some effort). The view was just absolutely stunning. With not a cloud in the sky and autumn red and yellow appearing all over
See this white snowed glacier in the distance? That is Mount Titlis, the skiing area of Engelberg where I have also been last winter. Normally you can not see it this good sparkling over the other mountain tops, but yesterday it was so clear, I could almost swear I saw the cablecar station even.
And what about this shiny one in the distance here on the right side? Next to the not snowed Mount Pilatus, that it the Eiger mountain which is about 60 kilometers away, but almost seen as if it is around the corner. By the way....the Eiger is having a piece of its glacier that is cracking and most likely will fall of multiple tons of snow. Watch out there when hiking currently.
